SS - Ministry of Magic RPG (retired)
SS - Ministry of Magic RPG (retired)
Birthdate: August 19. 2033
Appearance: Over six foot, very slender, with dark hair and dark eyes.
Hogwarts background: Sorted into Hufflepuff, Silas attended Hogwarts from 2044 to 2051. There he excelled in History of Magic, Muggle Studies and Care of Magical Creatures. He also fared well in Transfiguration. He has since worked to increase his proficiency with potions and charms.
Personal and work history: The middle son of Arsenius and Cyrah Druery, Silas has repeatedly attempted to distance himself from the family legacy of pureblood elitism and cruelty. Leaving home following his graduation and the death of his brother, Kayson, Silas worked in a series of muggle jobs before returning to the wizarding world quite briefly. Following another personal tragedy, Silas left for the United States where he worked on staff for a muggle Senator for nearly 10 years. During this time, he grew to appreciate many facets of muggle life, as well as gain a deeper understanding of how best to keep these worlds protected from one another. Throughout his escapes into muggle life, he always felt drawn back to the wizarding world by a sense that he could help make things better, particularly for those who are misunderstood, distrusted or ostracized. He returned from the States in August 2069 to work with the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad on level three until accepting the Division Head position in the Spirit Division in June of 2070. In January of 2071, Silas abruptly resigned his post and left the Ministry.
Personality: Silas is a rather guarded man, rarely disclosing anything about his past, and often not taking kindly to inquiries. Very few are afforded the opportunity to get to know him in anything more than a superficial way. Despite that, he is generally a kind man who is eager to assist others. He can be rather pleasant company, so long as the past isn't broached. He has a dry, cynical sense of humor.
Patronus: Coyote
Other: Silas married Dora Lovegood in the summer of 2070. She passed away in Spring 2071 after giving birth to their twins, Imogen and Gabriel.
